UX audit • websites, stores, apps

A UX audit that tells you what to fix first

We find the places where your website, online store or app loses users, and work out why. We combine analytics data, session recordings and a walkthrough of the key paths on desktop and mobile. You get a list of fixes ranked by weight, ready to implement with us or with your own team.

When does a UX audit pay off?

An audit makes sense when the product already has traffic but the results disappoint: lots of visits and few enquiries, full carts without orders, users who sign up and vanish after the first session.

It also pays off before a rebuild. It often turns out that instead of a new site you need a dozen specific fixes, and that's a difference of tens of thousands.

We don't audit a freshly launched site with no traffic: it needs users first and a diagnosis second. We'll tell you that plainly before we quote.

What we check on a website, in a store and in an app

On a company website we walk the route from the first visit to an enquiry: navigation, the content of the offer, forms and loading speed on a phone.

In an online store we analyse the purchase funnel step by step: search and filters, the product page, cart, delivery and payment. We work out at which step most buyers drop off. The European Accessibility Act has covered e-commerce since 28 June 2025, so we also flag the most serious barriers: low contrast, unlabelled forms and elements unreachable by keyboard.

In a web or mobile app we look at onboarding, empty states, error messages and the tasks people repeat every day, and in SaaS products also at the path from trial to paid plan.

How a UX audit works

We start with analytics: where users enter, where they drop off and what separates buyers from those who give up. Then we complete the key tasks on desktop and mobile, assess the product against recognised usability principles, and watch session recordings and heatmaps where they're available.

In the research version we add task-based tests and interviews with users. Even five tests uncover most critical problems, so you rarely need a large sample.

What you get after the audit

The report has three parts: a summary for decision-makers that reads in a few minutes, the list of problems, and quick wins, meaning fixes with a big effect and a small implementation cost.

Every problem has a weight (critical, significant, cosmetic), the place it occurs, a recommendation and the reasoning: data, or the specific usability principle the product breaks.

For the Influger platform, our UX audit of the web app ran to 79 pages. After it we designed a new interface and a design system with 32 components.

Who runs the audit

The audit is run by the studio's founders, who design interfaces every day and teach UX/UI to university students. We bring 22 years of design and delivery practice.

Our team includes engineers, so every recommendation comes with an implementation hint. You can hand the fixes to us or to your own team.

Pricing

How much does a UX audit cost?

We give the ranges upfront, because we know you have to defend the budget inside your company.

Expert audit

€2,000–6,000 net

Data analysis, a walkthrough of the key paths on desktop and mobile, an assessment against usability principles and a report with a prioritised fix list. For a website, online store or app.

Audit with user research

€5,000–12,000 net

The expert audit extended with task-based tests and interviews with users: recruitment, moderation and analysis of the results.

The price depends on the number of templates and paths to analyse, the number of platforms, and whether you have analytics and session recordings set up. A UX audit of an online store usually fits the same ranges. Before we start, you get the scope, timeline and a price matched to your product.

Common questions about UX audits

How much does a UX audit cost?

An expert audit of a website, store or app typically costs €2,000–6,000 net. An audit extended with user research (task-based tests, interviews) runs €5,000–12,000 net. The price is driven mainly by the number of paths and templates to analyse, the number of platforms and how much analytics data is available.

What do I get after a UX audit?

A report in three parts: a summary for decision-makers, a prioritised list of problems and a set of quick wins. Every item on the list has a weight, the place it occurs, a recommendation and the reasoning. You can implement the list with us or with your own team.

How does a website UX audit differ from an online store audit?

On a company website we assess the route from the first visit to an enquiry. In a store we analyse the purchase funnel step by step, from search and the product page to cart, delivery and payment, and we order the recommendations by their impact on conversion. The price usually fits the same ranges.

Do you audit web and mobile apps?

Yes. In apps we analyse onboarding, empty states, error messages and the tasks people repeat every day, and in SaaS products also the path from trial to payment. We also check consistency with iOS and Android conventions.

When does a UX audit not make sense?

When the product has no traffic yet. A freshly launched site needs users first, because without data on their behaviour the diagnosis rests on expert analysis alone. If that's your situation, we'll say so plainly and suggest a different first step.

Does a UX audit cover accessibility (WCAG)?

In a store UX audit we flag the most serious accessibility barriers: low contrast, unlabelled forms and elements unreachable by keyboard. A full WCAG compliance audit is a separate service that can be combined with the UX audit.

Will you implement the fixes after the audit?

Yes, if you'd like us to. Design and code grow in one team here, so we can design and build the fixes from the list. We write the report so that your own team or another agency can implement it too.

Let's talk about your product

Tell us what the audit should cover (a website, a store or an app) and what worries you about the results. We reply within 24 hours on business days and prepare the scope and quote within a few days.
