From idea to working product

A web application is today's most common form of digital product: it runs in the browser, needs no installation and works on any device. We build both internal tools – admin panels, analytics dashboards, process-management systems – and commercial SaaS products sold on subscription.

Our advantage is the combination of product design and engineering. Before any code exists, a well-thought-out product exists: researched user needs, designed flows, a tested prototype. That is how we build what users actually need – not what sounded good in a meeting.

Problems we solve

  • You have a product idea but no roadmap: a product workshop turns vision into a concrete MVP scope with budget and timeline.
  • Company processes drown in spreadsheets: we design internal tools that automate work and eliminate copy-paste errors.
  • An existing app can't keep up with the business: we audit code and UX, modernise the architecture or plan a safe rebuild.
  • The product has users but poor retention: we research where users get lost and design data-driven fixes.

What we actually do

Product workshop and MVP

Every product starts with a workshop: we define the users, the core problems and the minimal scope that will validate the idea in the market. We take MVPs seriously – an MVP is not a "stripped-down version" but the shortest path to learning from real users.

Product design

Information architecture, user flows, clickable prototypes, usability testing and a complete design system – your application's interface will be coherent, intuitive and ready to grow. We also design AI-powered experiences (AX): in-product assistants, automations and intelligent suggestions.

Development and architecture

We write optimised, secure code built to scale: clean architecture, tests, code review, CI/CD. We integrate payments (Stripe and others), external systems via API and – increasingly – AI models where they add real value.

Growth after launch

After release, the product's development is just beginning. We analyse user behaviour, plan iterations and grow the product in a steady, predictable rhythm.

How we work together

  1. Scoping workshop: from vision to a prioritised MVP feature list.
  2. Prototype and testing: a clickable mock-up validated with users before expensive code freezes decisions.
  3. Design system: components and rules that keep the product consistent for years.
  4. Development in iterations: every two weeks you see working progress, not status reports.
  5. Launch and measurement: product analytics and shared conclusions.
  6. Growth: next features planned from data, not intuition.

Why Sweet Lava

You work directly with the designers and engineers building your product. Decisions are fast, knowledge never gets lost between departments, and quality – both design and engineering – stays senior at every stage.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a web application or SaaS MVP cost?

A sensibly scoped web-app MVP usually requires €20,000–60,000, depending on logic complexity, integrations and user roles. Smaller internal tools (panels, dashboards) start around €10,000. We always begin with a scoping workshop, after which you get a realistic budget instead of guesswork.

How long does an MVP take?

A typical MVP goes from workshop to first users in 3–6 months. The key is a well-trimmed scope – we help separate the features critical for validating the idea from those that can wait for later releases.

Which technologies do you use?

Front-end in React or Vue (Next.js, Astro), back-end in Node.js, PHP or Python with PostgreSQL/MySQL. We choose architecture to fit the product, not the other way round – and we document it so no team is ever locked in to us.

Do you also design the application?

Yes – that is our biggest advantage. UX research, information architecture, prototypes, the design system and the interface are produced by the same team that writes the code. Nothing gets thrown over the fence between a design agency and a software house.

What about maintenance after launch?

We offer ongoing care: monitoring, security updates and iterative feature development. Most clients stay with us for years – a digital product is never "finished".
