Spółdzielnia Socjalna Równość is a remarkable social-economy enterprise that successfully combines business with a mission: helping people at risk of exclusion back into work. Its commercial arm, Catering Równość, has served the local market for years, and over time the offer evolved from simple orders to premium services. The design had to join the communication of a social mission with the image of a thoroughly professional catering brand, credible for individual and business clients alike.

Context
The challenge
The main design challenge was exposing a new, key service: finger food catering. The previous website wasn't ready for that change; its dated information architecture had collapsed under the weight of a growing offer. Our goal was a new website that removes usability barriers, brings order to the service structure and prepares the architecture for a possible future e-commerce roll-out.
A new structure and layout
Bringing order to the extended offer required a brand-new architecture, and with it a fairly large menu. We split the structure into logical, independent subpages, so users reach specific services faster. Visually, beautiful food photography plays the lead role, set on clean white space that flatters the photos supplied by the client. The key challenge was composing the long texts the SEO strategy needed: with the right typography, paragraph width and line height the content flows through the page, stays readable and never overwhelms.
Development
The site runs on WordPress. We put strong emphasis on the technical optimisation of heavy food photography: the CMS automatically downsizes uploaded photos and converts them to the modern WebP format. Importantly, the site didn't launch as a store. It's a brand website which was, however, prepared from the ground up for an easy WooCommerce roll-out once the client decides to start selling online.
Results and SEO
The new structure and solutions proved an ideal environment for the external SEO agency: a correct split of subpages and fast-loading, optimised images contributed to an impressive 200% growth in site visits. The new design also raised the prestige of the Równość brand, making it easier to reach premium clients and sell finger food services.
The result
The best summary of this project comes from our client:
We have been working together on our websites for many years, and every time the cooperation is smooth, comfortable and very much to the point. The projects always answer our needs. All requirements and expectations – even the unusual ones – are taken into account. At the design stage we receive varied proposals, so we can pick the best solution. The final effect invariably delights us and our clients alike. The sites are clear, aesthetic and functional. Everything simply works. What we value most: the cooperation doesn't end when the invoice is paid – whenever questions, doubts or urgent situations come up, we can always count on a quick, helpful response.
